Spa Etiquette

We are dedicated to creating a serene, relaxing and meditative environment for all of our patrons. Please refrain from using your cell phone or pager while at the spa.

Our goal is to create a nurturing and comfortable environment so your questions are welcomed by our staff. Bay Area Health Spa maintains a high level of privacy and we keep all of your personal information strictly confidential.

Bring a friend, family member or anyone you care about to enjoy the experience with you. Children are welcome to participate in our treatments with parental consent.

Arrival Time

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to unwind and prepare for your service. New clients are asked to complete a Questionnaire form prior to receiving a service at Bay Area Health Spa. To ensure that our staff stays on schedule and provides the utmost service for our clients, it is imperative for clients to arrive on time. We cannot guarantee services to clients who arrive 15 minutes or more later than their scheduled appointment time.

Service Contraindications

There are contraindications for Spa treatments that include, but not limited to, pregnancy, infectious skin disease, recent surgery, high blood pressure, excessive or daily medication, epilepsy and asthma. If you have a medical condition, it is imperative that you inform the reservations desk when making your appointment and your physician.

Cancellation and "No Show" Policy

A 24 hour notice must be provided for cancellations. Any cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment will result in the billing of your credit card on file for 50% of the fees for the scheduled appointment.

Late Arrivals

In order for us to provide the best customer service experience to all of our clients, all appointments will still finish at their scheduled time. Should a client arrive 20 minutes after the start of their appointment, this will be considered a “no show” and will incur the cancellation fee.

Right of Refusal

Bay Area Health Spa reserves the right to refuse service to any client for improper conduct. Inappropriate conduct or language during a service will result in the termination of the service. We reserve the right to define inappropriate conduct or language.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates at Bay Area Health Spa may be purchased for any of our products or services for any dollar amount. Gift Certificates must be redeemed at the location it was purchased from and are non-transferable (except to purchaser). Gift Certificates must be presented at the time of your appointment for payment. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.

Measurements

Measurements for The Body Wrap™ are taken at your first appointment and at the end of each package. For repeat clients who do not purchase packages, they are taken approximately every 5th appointment.

Tips

Leaving gratuity for work well done seems to be the norm, but of course, it is optional. Most tips for The Body Wrap™ range from 10-20% of the price of the services provided.
